In these walking tours we can see the effects of water erosion on a substrate of compacted sand. The botanical species associated with these watercourses are the reed, rattan and the tamarisk, surrounded by a large pine forest. The other one is named La Senda del Pilar al Mar is a path that connects the commercial centre of Pilar de la Horadada to the beach. There are 3 km. of way following the urban boulevard which runs parallel to the urban watercourse. You can do it on foot, by bicycle or even on skates.
If you prefer the pilgrimage, you can start your spiritual journey to Santiago de Compostela from our sixteenth-century watchtower of Torre de la Horadada. From here begins one of the routes of the Camino de Santiago del Sureste (The Southeastern part of St James Way).
